Play Park: A festival for children and grown-ups
Teater Refleksion and Branar Téatar “The Way Back Home”
Puppet show|DENMARK, IRELAND Kansai Premiere 11/5-11/6, 11/12-11/13

The Danish theater company Teater Refleksion is internationally acclaimed for its poetic worlds and sophisticated sensibility while Branar Téatar creates work that allows children’s imaginations to soar. A co-production between the two companies, The Way Back Home is based on the popular children’s book by Oliver Jeffers about a boy’s amazing adventure. Told without dialogue, the story comes to live with just music and puppets.

Riding on an airplane he finds in his closet, the boy travels into outer space but unexpected troubles await him. As he struggles to overcome his dilemma, audiences find themselves wanting to embrace the boy as they become transfixed by the tale. This adventure into an unknown world created against a completely black backdrop is filled with love, bravery, and kindness.
