Compagnia Baccalà is the charming Swiss clown duo of Simone Fassari and Camilla Pessi, who now bring their comical and surprising show to Kyoto Experiment. Sometimes cruel yet always cute, the pair’s curious natures keep them constantly bumping up against each other. Their thrilling, well-paced performance is in the nostalgic style of a silent film, featuring juggling, acrobatics, and trapeze.
Trained at renowned Swiss theatre school Accademia Teatro Dimitri, the duo marries superb artistry with precise circus techniques that conjure up a dream-like world free from the constraints of gravity. Performed to great acclaim in over 50 countries on 5 continents, this heartwarming and exciting show is full of character. Very funny for adults.
