Mental Activity

A confrontation of body and mind by an acclaimed new talent from Argentina

Buenos Aires-based Colombian choreographer Luis Garay introduces two intellectually stirring performances for the first time in Japan. Mental Activity illustrates Garay’s own hypothesis that “science is a pure poetry and, on the contrary, ritual is quite materialistic” on stage. Performers interact with the gadgets scattered on the stage. Is what awaits us after this exploration a real form of intelligence? The work of a brilliant mind from South America.
