Kyoto Experiment 2026 Dates Announced!

Kyoto Experiment 2026 will take place from Saturday 3rd to Sunday 25th October 2026.
Marking its 17th edition, the festival continues to produce and present experimental works from around the world across various venues in Kyoto, aiming to explore and create new dialogues and values in society.
The festival features three core programs: “Kansai Studies,” a research program; “Shows,” a series of performances and exhibitions; and “Super Knowledge for the Future [SKF],” which encourages reflection on the present through workshops and talks. Through the creations, experiences, and ideas that emerge from these experiments, we aim to open up new possibilities of performing arts.
We invite you to look forward to encountering pioneering and experimental works from Japan and abroad.
