“Oharano Time” starts when the visitor gets off at the last bus stop Nagamine. It is approximately a 15-minute walk through bamboo forest to the old Japanese-style house which is the venue of this project. Please enjoy beautiful bamboo forest and other trees. (Of course, it is possible to travel to the venue by car or motor bike. There is a parking space.)
The venue is a 150-year-old Japanese-style house and was the place where The Secret Theatre Milanerie’s dance piece Usagi-no-tsuno (Horns of rabbit) was first performed. There will be a screening of stage performance “Onohara Dance Project” which was held in March this year at ROHM Theatre Kyoto’s North Hall, and the photography exhibition, as well as the performance of new dance work. Milanerie’s dance works transfer to large stages via experimental creation at this old house. We hope to show you this process. In the evening, there will be an exchange party (meal). Please ask us any questions such as stories of making the work. We welcome you with dishes using the ingredients of Oharano! (Bringing your own food and drink, including alcohol drinks, is welcome. We will not serve any alcohol.)
