In MANUAL , a single performer guides the audience on a sensory journey through the space of a library. In this talk, Canada-based artists Adam Kinner and Christopher Willes discuss the making of this intimate and personal work, as well as their experiences performing it in public libraries around the world. How do these two artists perceive the world through listening, a practice central to their daily creative process, and what does listening mean to them?

Guest: Adam Kinner and Christoper Willes
Host: Mizuho Fujita (Chief curator/Program Director, KCUA Art Gallery), Kyoto Experiment Co-artistic directors

Presented by Kyoto Experiment, Kyoto City University of Arts Art Gallery
