The Busstrio

In November at Kyoto Art Center, Busstrio will perform its new work Holy cow/We only get one chance, which is themed around the land of Kyoto and the theatrical practice of Shogo Ota on that land. Ahead of the performance, we are holding a talk and workshop linked to the new work. In “Passing Shogo Ota on the Streets of Kyoto,” people who have encountered Ota will come together to share memories relating to the man, reflecting on what he was like and what he achieved. In the workshop “Can You See Yourself Walking?” we will join the participants in a walk around Kyoto, staging scenes in order to unearth the words lying dormant in its alleyways.
