KYOTO Cultural Festival returns for its third edition. This festival of the performing arts reconsiders the role and place of theater and the stage in our society. This year’s lineup of performers includes five groups: Gaki no Danjiki (theater/Osaka), Monochrome Circus (dance/Kyoto), Goto Izumi (multidisciplinary artist/Hiroshima), Zan Yamashita (dance/Kyoto), and SMILE (performing arts/Kyoto). We hope to provide a time and space for everyone to really encounter the performing arts, watch, listen, feel, talk, think, and stop to consider, in a spirit of mutual encouragement, how they will live from here on.
