Te-Te

Sakuhin is a series of improvised performances by an actor and a violinist that revolve around voice, body, and music. Starting from the question, “From what point is a person a work of art?”, we seek to create performances that coexist with various disparities: improvisation and artwork, being oneself and performing, drama and music. Our third performance, which was held in April 2024, was awarded a Startup Grant by the Arts Council Tokyo at the Tokyo Metropolitan Foundation for History and Culture. This time, building on ideas in our first performance, we position ourselves in the gap between “us,” using the space in seeking to deploy the minimum number of sounds and movements.
