LGBTQ Study Group (Kyoto Experiment Version)

Kyoto Experiment features works that include LGBTQ characters or deal with related topics. This is also true of TV shows, films, and plays we encounter today. However, both the creators and viewers of these works may struggle to keep up with the significant updates to our knowledge and understanding of the sexual minorities in the past few years. It could be said that we must acquire this crucial knowledge in order to live in our evolving society. In this study group, Hanako Wada, an actor and organizer of LGBTQ study groups for actors, playwrights, directors, and producers since 2019, speaks about fundamental LGBTQ issues in Japan, as well as subjects like labor issues in the theater and film industry.
