Fundraising for Arts and Culture: Possible Relationships between Audiences and Supporters
This talk event features experts in cultural policy and business within the realm of art. In recent years, Kyoto Experiment has been facing financial challenges due to factors such as the pandemic, changes in the international landscape, and the city of Kyoto’s financial reforms. Given this situation, we are currently exploring new modes of operation, seeking support and sponsorship from private entities and corporations. This is not unique to Kyoto Experiment, as the public nature of art and culture, along with the structures that sustain it, is currently facing a crucial turning point. In light of these circumstances, this discussion seeks to contemplate the future of “co-creation” between art and society.
