Reading session
Ahead of the performance of Lynch (a Play) at the festival, we’ll be hosting an online read-through of the eponymous play by Yoshiro Yoda Hatori, winner of the 20th Aichi Arts Foundation Drama Award. The play contains all kinds of elements and doesn’t feel like it can be performed after a simple read-through. After the text has been read aloud, we’ll bring in our guest, the behavioral scientist Hiromichi Hosoma, to talk with participants about what they felt and thought. The play’s two scenes will be read across two days.
