At Frame un frame, plastic art works, bags, leather accessories and other works will be exhibited, as well as put on sale.
Utilizing the plasticity of leather, I am making works from the stone molds, as if to explore the relationship between the motif and the frame. It could be difficult to describe what I am making with words, yet through meeting images that appear in concrete forms, I am hoping to discover the senses that cannot be put into words.
I have started making bags and leather accessories using left-over pieces of fabric and leather from my work as upholsterer and I enjoy the feeling of the material and colors. Please take them with your hands.
Making things that are not restricted by their use, trying to find the shape while having a conversation with the material, and making things with pre-determined use and structure; both are the same in terms of making, but are quite different in their process and what people ask for from the finished products. I make works coming and going between the two poles.
