Founded in 2013 under the leadership of Artistic Director Yoshimitsu Kushida. Based in Tokyo, Dance Company Lasta has consistently pursued “the ultimate in collective physical expression,” presenting over 30 stage works to date.

Our core theme is “inheritance.” While passing the will and culture built by predecessors down to contemporary bodies, we pursue the passion of the “”here and now”” where tradition and innovation intersect. Expanding beyond traditional theater spaces into urban environments, historical architecture, and video expressions that condense spirituality, we continue to seek ways for art to resonate with people worldwide.

In addition to performances at major theaters in Japan, our activities reach internationally to London, the Czech Republic, Germany, and beyond. In 2024, our unique sensibility and artistic expression received high acclaim across international arts festivals in seven European countries. Following a successful solo performance at THE CORONET THEATRE in London in 2025, we continue to lead the Japanese dance scene, creating new artistic values for the next generation.
