Overlapping the materialistic strength and vulnerability of ceramics with the artist’s unstable mental conditions, Yagyu explores the relationship between ceramics and the body, and creates ceramic works as clothes, aiming to achieve subtle expressions that are not possible with fabrics.
For this exhibition, the cup is considered as the body and the works of ceramic clothes are presented, making visible the frill-decorated cups, the time and the habit.
At the exhibition place, there will be an event to have drinks with frill-cups.

YAGYU RINON

Kyoto City

orn in Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture in 2000.

Graduated from Kyoto University of Art and Design, Department of Fine and Applied Arts (Comprehensive Sculpture Course) in 2022.

Completed Master’s Program in Ceramics, Graduate School of Fine and Applied Arts, Kyoto University of Art and Design in 2024.
